About The Dogs

tess portrait

Tess came to me via the Hanknight (silent k) Kennels when they were in the Camborne area. They have since moved to Linconshire. We still keep in touch from time to time, as like myself, they like to know how she is getting on, and they came all the way down to see her when she had her first litter.

She is a beautiful girl, so refined after the working type springers I am used to. She wouldn't dream of scrabbling about in the bushes, getting muddy or chasing rabbits, and watches the rest of the family when they are up to these antics, with what I can only describe as haughty disdain.

However, get her on the beach and she shows another side to her nature, no she doesn't venture into the water any further than her ankles, but tears up and down the beach yelping with excitement, chasing any type of bird that she spots. She has a loving nature, and big as she is, likes to get on my lap for a fussing in the evenings.

Daisy is a Liver/White working springer and has had two litters with Buddy my Black/White working springer. He has now been neutered. She also was an excellent mother, and when Tess had her first litter Daisy would amuse herself playing with Tess's puppies, when they were old enough to play with.

Blossom is another Liver/White working springer, she has never had puppies, though we tried to breed with her on three occasions, sadly nothing happened, she also has now been neutered, so she is the maiden aunt so to speak.

All my dogs are members of the family and are indoor dogs, not kept outside in kennels. I would be too soft to let them live outside, though I know they wouldn't mind. We don't live in a huge house but have a fair sized garden which has room enough forthem to run around in.
